Why Furnace Maintenance Matters

- Check the thermocouple and pilot assembly (if applicable)
- Inspect the heat exchanger

- Check the inducer and blower motors
- Lubricate bearings and fans (if applicable)
- Check and tighten all electrical connections
- Check the safety switches and controls
- Check the gas valve

- Test and label emergency shutoffs
- Check airflow across the indoor coil and blower wheel

Every furnace tune-up includes a carbon monoxide test and a heat exchanger inspection. A cracked heat exchanger can let carbon monoxide into your home. If we find one, we show you exactly where it is, ask you to sign a form acknowledging it’s dangerous and red-tag the furnace as unsafe to operate.
Our cracked heat exchanger guarantee: if you get a second opinion and they don’t find a crack, we’ll replace your furnace for free. We’ll just make one more visit to double-check first.
